Two women arrested for allegedly stealing packages in East Sacramento

Two women were arrested Thursday in East Sacramento for allegedly stealing packages, said Traci Trapani, Sacramento Police Department spokeswoman.

Officers responded to a call at 12:06 p.m. regarding two suspects in the area of 45th Street and Folsom Boulevard that were seen stealing packages. Officers arrived and found a female in possession of a package while walking in the area. Police detained the female and it was discovered the package belonged to a resident in the 1400 block of 45th Street.

Moments later, officers found a second suspicious female suspect loitering in the area. After contacting the female, who had been loitering, it was discovered she was also in possession of stolen property. In that incident Irene Ramos, 38 and Leslie Gamble, 30, were arrested for various theft charges, Trapani said.
