Mayahuel owner in negotiations to fill Cesar Chavez cafe space

The Downtown Sacramento Partnership says it is in “exclusive negotiations” with the owner of Tequila Museo Mayahuel to fill the cafe in Cesar Chavez Plaza.

On Friday, Ernesto Delgado of Mayahuel confirmed he’s in negotiations for the space, but declined to elaborate.

The City of Sacramento and the Downtown Sacramento Partnership are working together to fill the cafe at 917 Ninth St. In May, officials released an online survey asking people what kind of eatery they’d like to see in Cesar Chavez…
