Nonfiction reading series Thursday at Shine Cafe

TrueStory, Sacramento’s nonfiction reading series and open mic, is this  Thursday, July 16 at at Shine Cafe (corner of 14th and E streets in Midtown) starting at  7 p.m. There is a $6 cover charge. Events feature selected readers and an open mic. Anyone can sign up for the open mic upon arrival, and as many people can read as time allows. Open mic readings will be limited to 5 minutes. Remember, we are a nonfiction series–so stories must be true and they must be personal.

Featured readers for July are: Lois Ann Abraham, Brad Branan, Beatrice Hogg and Gayle Brandeis.
