Convention at Sac State Saturday for American Indian fathers

Native Dads Network, a Sacramento nonprofit aimed at helping American Indian men be better fathers, husbands and citizens, is hosting its first convention Saturday, June 27, “Walking the Sacred Path,” at California State University, Sacramento. The popular event has sold out for this year.

Nine organizations are sponsoring this weekend’s conference. The event is hosting 180 registered attendees. The conference aims to educate men and women on issues ranging from domestic violence to bullying through workshops, speakers and youth events.
