Public got to conduct the Philharmonic Orchestra yesterday at the Capitol

The Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra & Opera held a “Conduct Us” giving the public a chance conduct the live orchestra from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17.

Volunteers from the public were given a choice of three songs, to conduct at their will. In attendance was City Manager John Shirey, who conducted the piece “Ode to Joy” for a gathering in front of the steps.

This season continues the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra & Opera patron-friendly pricing, with subscription prices as low as $18 at the Sacramento Community Center Theater.

The first performance will be Mahler’s “Resurrection” June 27 at the Sacramento Community Center Theater.
