Is bike-sharing coming to popular Sacramento neighborhoods?

Sacramento leaders are moving ahead with a plan that would bring bike-sharing to the capital region. The program would be similar to existing bike-sharing systems in San Francisco, New York City and Washington, D.C.  According to a staff report, the bike-share program would offer 616 bicycles at 78 rental stations mainly in downtown, midtown, East Sacramento, West Sacramento, Land Park, Curtis Park and Oak Park.
