To celebrate National Poetry Month, the Ella K. McClatchy Library in Midtown will feature published Sacramento poets Victoria Dalkey and Ann Menebroker reading their own works.

Victoria Dalkey is a fourth-generation Sacramento native and is the art critic for The Sacramento Bee. Her poems have appeared in AbraxasBirmingham Poetry ReviewCimarron ReviewTule Review and the Sacramento Anthology: One Hundred Poems.Ann Menebroker is a longtime member of the Sacramento Poetry Center and has written poetry for 58 years. Originally from Washington, D.C., she has lived in Sacramento since 1951. Her work has appeared in anthologies, broadsides, literary magazines and published collections.
