McKinley Village train underpass approved but still no third entrance
The developers of the McKinley Village project in East Sacramento have reached an agreement with Union Pacific and the City of Sacramento to build a new railroad bridge and vehicle underpass. The new underpass will extend 40th Street from C Street into McKinley Village and will cost about $12 million. The western side of the project would be accessible from Midtown by 28th Street. Opponents have asked for a third access route to reduce traffic congestion.
