TrueStory reading series tonight at Shine Cafe in Midtown

TrueStory is kicking off this year’s quarterly series tonight at Shine Cafe (corner of 14th and E streets in Midtown) starting at  7 p.m. The event includes four featured readers as well as an open mic: arrive early if you’d like to sign up to read.

Tonight’s readers are Kneece Camp Sasser, a high school ESL teacher in Sacramento who is writing a memoir about her travels in France; Karen Levy an Israeli-American writer and author of My Father’s Gardens; Doug Greene is an award-winning author and photographer who will be reading from his first book From Grief to Grace: An Adventurer’s Journey from the Brink of Blindness; and Wendy C. Ortiz author of Excavation: A Memoir and the forthcoming Hollywood Notebook.
